Although its not quite Scott McCloud's brilliant approach to the 'primary colors' of facial expression, here's a neat little video that describes how a wide variety of emotion is conveyed through the most basic symbols.

This amazing music video was made for $12 and the free 3D design program, Google Sektchup. Yet another example of what open source software plus some innovation will get you:



You can also watch an interview with the one man band of Roche Limit, who created both the song and the video. This comes from the $99 Music Video YouTube Channel- another innovative use of online tools that matches up independent musicians with independent directors.
