The wait is over (and it was an unfortunately long wait this year, I apologize for that), ladies and gentlemen, the fourth installment of the international collaborative animation project:

This year in addition to a number of different media, we also had a number of different themes. Here you'll see the ball take an extended trip through a museum and through some notable moments in film history. Thanks to all the students, teachers and participating schools. We hope to see you back for Rotoball 2012!

Yoda Said it Best

Do. Or do not. There is no Try.

However, Sol Le Witt said it funnier, and articulated the idea for artists a little further. Just a warning, this animation contains 5 not-approved-for prime time words, and 4 hastily drawn silly depictions of naughty bits and therefore is so offensive that it may not be appropriate for all (read: most US K-12) classes.

Vik Munez

I snuck into into Kate's classroom yesterday after hearing the beginning of this TED Talk she was showing to her class, given by artist Vik Munez. More than anything, this video illustrates how Munez' vision is guided by his sense of humor and joie de vivre. I could tell that it was inspiring her students to approach their artwork in the same way.

I'll show it next week!

Thanks, Kate!
