StopMoShorts is a great resource for stop motion animation, which includes news, tutorials, and a showcase of work. The website encourages contributors to submit short animations around the subject of a visual haiku, which the site describes as a work of visual art that is able to "display emotion and character, establish a mood or atmosphere and to tell a story by combining these elements into a coherent thought or statement with emphasis placed on performance and story telling". Each month a new Haiku is suggested and submissions are requested.
