Everything is Changing

Here's some great news for multimedia teachers - adobe has announced an online version of photoshop which should be debut in the next six months. This version will include what adobe is calling 'entry level tools' - so expect a significantly paired down version of the version you're used to. Adobe is also bringing out Remix, an online video editing application. Free online video editors seem to be popping out of the woodwork, but so far are pretty limited in their functionality.

However, if this is indicative of a shift towards web-based applications, this can only be good news for teachers - adobe's online photoshop will be supported by online advertising rather than purchasing.
