A Brilliant Cameo

Judy Decker of The Incredible Art Department posted this site over on Art Ed 2.0. Incredibly useful for all art educators:

Cameo is a searchable information center developed by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
The MATERIALS database contains chemical, physical, visual, and analytical information on over 10,000 historic and contemporary materials used in the production and conservation of artistic, architectural, archaeological, and anthropological materials.

For example, here is the large entry listed under Cobalt Blue.

This database will give you all the information that you need about everything that's in your room.
