High school students often put up barriers to learning about non-objective art, and finding ways around those barriers can often be difficult. In order to combat the apathy that often accompanies looking at the world in new ways, I find that silliness often works wonders.
Witness: Pac-Mondrian. At the Pac-Mondrian website, you can play pac-man on a mondrian based board, create your own, and then play on that board as well.
A little silliness can often go a long way in communicating new ideas.
