One thing I love about the web is all the "open source education" - people are just giving away valuable lessons for the simple enjoyment of sharing something that they care about. Video tutorials tend to be short and easy to digest. Here are some great examples of painting tutorials: 
Bobby Chu who does all kinds of amazing illustrations, shares his digital painting technique through his youtube site.
Here's another video tutorial in oil painting from artist Kenny Mencher, who provides us with a video tutorial on his oil painting process. Its an interesting an informative video (if a little to small on the monitor).
