Open Source Week!

Welcome to our first annual Open Source Week at the Revolution!

Its almost Chinese New Year, and as you know, for thousands of years this event has been celebrated by creating really useful software and giving it out to friends and family*. So over the next week we'll be featuring some open-source and shareware programs for use in your classroom.

To kick it off, here's Artrage 2, the sequel to the free painting program that we featured here last year. There's not too many changes, although it does give you a few more optiions and a little more control. There's also a $20 version that has a few more bells and whistles. The one (minor) annoyance about this new version is that some of those "bells and whistles" make a little bit of noise to remind you that there's a version they want you to buy.

But that being said, $20 is a good deal.

Happy Year of the Pig!
