I began looking for some more photography links after really enjoying reading the article "What Makes a Good Photograph" that I posted about yesterday and came across this Wonderful World of Early Photography article at Neat-O-Rama. Neat-O-Rama, by the way, always has all kinds of strange and unexpected things. In this post, you will find not only a great history of key events in Photography history, but milestone photographs like the one seen here. This is the world's first photograph, "View from the Window at Le Gras" (circa 1826) by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce.

Edit: The link to the article is fixed - thanks, distantshipsmokeonthehorizon for pointing that out. You came through in waves.
