Here is a fascinating piece of recently discovered art history. The Rosslyn Motet is a musical composition discovered by the father and son team of Thomas and Stuart Mitchell in the patterns of 213 square carvings of the Rosslyn Chapel. These carvings reflect the designs created when sand is exposed to different frequencies of sound on a flat panel (known as the study of Cymatics).
For those of you who've read The DaVinci Code (in other words, everyone who can read, apparently) you'll recognize the Rosslyn Chapel as a key location in the story, known for hiding secrets in its architecture.
