Conference in Second Life

Don't worry, this has not become a "Second Life Blog", nor is this "Second Life Week" at the Carrot Revolution. Its just that there's a lot of buzz in the edu-blogosphere about Second Life right now and it coincidentally coincides with my first Carrot Cast.

For those of you who are curious about virtual learning spaces and want to find out more, you can come to a conference without leaving the comfort of your own home. The Second Life Best Practices in Education Conference will be held on May 25th for 24 hours online in Second Life. For more information, check out the blog of the Four Eyed Technologist. Now, as I mentioned in the earlier in the 'cast, there are some huge obstacles for K-12 educators in Second Life, however, this conference is geared towards all levels of education, so I'm intrigued to see how those issues are addressed.

If you decide to go, keep a look out for "Satirios Ebbage" - that's me. Yeah, one thing I could do without in Second Life is the silly names... oh well, when at a conference in Rome...

See you there- be sure to say 'hi'.
