Today I'm live-blogging from an art department meeting in which we're discussing the use of technology in the classroom.
One of our High School teachers suggested using photoshop as a teaching tool in a way that I hadn't really considered before. She scans student paintings-in-progress into the computer, and then will ask them to adjust the contrast or change the value of certain colors, in order to help them visualize the final composition differently. The final product is still the painting, but the digital image helps them realize various possibilities.
Great idea!
