Its great to see the New York Times picking up on an idea that Daniel Pink highlighted in his book, A Whole New Mind- that design can change the world. Pink points out that better desing on the 'butterfly ballots' in Palm Beach Florida could well have swung the 2000 election in the other direction. In fact, the Times hits the exact same point, and goes into further depth about how some very simple changes must be made to create a more equitable voting process. This interactive feature is a fantastic way to show the importance of good design.
