More Free Three Dee!

Argh! Just when I was getting the hang of blender, it turns out that Alias is releasing free personal learning editions of Maya and Motion Builder, with almost all the features of its professional versions.

Ah well, back to the drawing board...

Update: These programs include a watermark on finished work and a non-compatable file format, and a request not to use in an educational setting. However, if you are doing 3D animation, I highly recommend the open source Blender (mentioned above), and any students interested in pursuing 3D further can download Maya and Motion Builder for themselves to investigate.
