In the last post I was talking about some of the great resources that came to my attention during the course of the IB Film seminar. One I forgot to mention was Two Cars, One Night - an academy award winning film short from New Zealand about a couple of kids who form a relationship in the car park outside of the bar where their parents are drinking. Thanks to Shannon (also from New Zealand) for pointing this one out.
Its a very simple and touching story, and creates rich and memorable characters in the space of a few minutes. For students working on narrative videos, its a very worthwhile 10 minutes. You can see it in two parts on YouTube:
